Graveside service for Tammy Leah Albright will be held at Eva Pentecostal Church Cemetery on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 1PM, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. My Moma, Tammy Leah Albright passed from this world into the arms of Our Father God on February 24, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was a force to be reckoned with. Moma was born June 25, 1957 in Natchez, MS to Harold Lee Short, Sr. and Margaret Eloise Goodger Short. She grew up in Vidalia, LA with her 4 brothers: Harold Lee Short, Jr of Evansville, IN; Donnie Darrell Short, Sr. of Ferriday, LA; William Earl Short of Ferriday, LA; John Patrick Short of GA and 2 sisters Polly Ann Crum and Sharon O. Martin both of Ferriday, LA. She had many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. She shared many stories of her childhood spent with her family. At age 16 she married her first husband and 3 children: William Robert Irwin, Jr. of Iantha, MO; Tabatha Marie of Cuero, TX; Scotty Dewayne Irwin of Roxie, MS. On June 19, 1998 she married her husband; Anthony M. Albright of Kenedy, TX at which time she became Moma to 4 more children: Skye Daniel Albright of Lake City, FL; Robert Wesley Albright of Kingsville, TX; Amber Lynn Albright of Kingsville, TX; Christian Marie Albright of Sparta, MI. If that wasn’t enough children to mother she took on the responsibility of raising 2 of her grandchildren: Christoper Lee Irwin and Tabatha Renee Albright of Kenedy, TX. She was a caregiver at heart. She took care of her family wether it be in times of illness, sadness, births, you name it she was there. She was employed as her special needs granddaughter’s main care provider for many years. Mawmaw to her 27 grandchildren and Gigi to her 2 great grandchildren; she enjoyed being surrounded by her family. Moma loved being in her backyard; feeding the birds, planting flowers and working on her pond. She leaves behind a Legacy for us in her sanctuary of a backyard. A pond that she dug with her “kids”; it was hard work, fun and lessons learned. She made sure we knew hard honest work wouldn’t kill us and always rewarding in the end. She was an amazing cook from Southern Homecooking to trying a new recipe she found in a magazine. One of her favorite things to do was to go on road trips to visit family, for births of grandchildren, weddings, visits to the beach or zoo, etc. We laughed, cried, jammed out and see some interesting places along the way. Now as we take this last road trip to her final resting place; Eva Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Eva, LA. KNOW SHE LOVED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Moma, we will think of you every time we see a hummingbird, Cardinal or frog. You will be missed dearly Moma, Baby, Mawmaw, Grandma Tammy, Gigi!
