Funeral services for Henry L. Corley, Jr. 85 of Vidalia, LA. will be 10am Tuesday January 06, 2015 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Tim Vanier officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Natchez, MS. under the direction of Comer Funeral Home Ferriday, LA. Mr. Corley was Born November 06, 1929 in Gilbert, LA. to the union of Henry L. Sr. and Boshie Anna Hall Corley and went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 3, 2015 at Promise Health and Rehab Center in Vidalia, LA. Mr. Corley was a dedicated member of Vidalia First Assembly of God where he served as Deacon and later served as an Elder of the church. Mr. Corley served the Lord faithfully and also ministered at Camelot Nursing Home as along as his health permitted. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and spending time with his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing the word of God. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing on the Mississippi River. Mr. Corley worked in the oilfield most of his life until retirement. Mr. Corley was preceded in death by his parents Henry L Sr. and Boshie Anna Corley, brothers Leon Corley, Whitney Corley and William Corley and sisters Racheal Russell, Mary Nelson, Kate Olsen, Inez Lofton, Ruth Cain and Audrey Brandenburg and one grandchild Carl Michael Corley, Jr. (Little Mike) Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years Meta Corley , two daughters Linda Bonnette and husband Cilton of Vidalia, LA.; Carmel Corley of Vidalia, LA.; one son Michael Corley, Sr. of Vidalia, LA. four grand-daughters Carla Curry and husband Curtis of Harrisonburg, LA.; Sandra Vanier and husband Tim of Vidalia, LA.; Christy Staggs and husband Lee of Denham Springs, LA.; Jennifer McCarty of Baton Rouge, LA.; two grandsons Jeff Bonnette of Vidalia, LA.; Joey Bonnetee and wife Catherine of Vidalia, LA.; eight great grand daughters Hayley Vanier of Vidalia, LA.; Heather Willis of Vidalia, LA.; Faith Lowe of Vidalia, LA.; Caitline Bonnette of Vidalia, LA.; Allie Corley of Vidalia, LA.; Anna Corley of Vidalia, LA.; Joelee Bonnette of Vidalia, LA.; Skyler Bonnette of Baton Rouge, LA.; six great -grandsons Chris Morace of Harrisonburg, LA.; Cody Nelson and wife Emily of Harrisonburg, LA.; Caleb Corley of Vidalia, LA.; Scott Bonnette of Vidalia, LA.; Seth Curry of Harrisonburg, LA.; and Derek Vanier of Vidalia, LA. and eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Jeff Bonnette, Chris Morace, Scott Bonnette, Lee Staggs, Caleb Corley and Seth Curry. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Bonnette, Keister Dillinger, Derek Vanier and Ronnie L.
