Mrs. Lillie Mae Perritt, 91 of Monterey, LA, was called home to Jesus on Friday, March 25, 2011 in Ferriday, LA. Mrs. Perritt was born January 17, 1920 in Delhi, LA, the daughter of the late Jessie Marvin King and the late Vera Bell Massey King. She was the 2nd oldest of eleven children-ten girls and one boy. In 1942 she married the late Tom David Perritt. From this union, seven children were raised. Four boys and three girls. After the death of her husband in 1960, she continued to raise their children and never remarried. She was a hardworking woman dedicated to providing for her children. She quilted, grew gardens, canned vegetables and many other trades to provide for her children. Later in life many of those trades became hobbies. She loved to can fresh vegetables and we all loved her homemade soup. Quilting became something that she did all the time. She also loved to embroidery and made beautiful pillow cases. She was aloving grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was preeded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Clarence Rogers and Boyd perritt, one daughter; Betty Humble, five sisters, Mattie Ruth Baggs, Maffie Davis, Deanie Baggs, Virgil Hatchel, and Minnie Bell King; one brother, Marvin King; daughter in law, Jean Rogers; three grandchildren, Glenda Sue Davis, Trela Fonville, and Earl David Perritt, Jr.; and a great grandchild, Roy Wyatt Kemp. She is survived by three sons: Jimmy Rogers of Weatherford, TX, Earl Perritt and wife, Dorothy, of Monterey, LA, and John Perritt of Mineral Wells, TX; three daughters: Audrey Barbe and husband, R. E. of Center, TX, Minnie Sue Crouch and husband, Jackie, and Adalene Duncan and husbadnd, Walter, all of Monterey, LA; four sisters: Louise Berkeen, Ethel Ray, Sally Duncan, and Sue Soseby; 21 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 33 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
