Graveside service for Mr. Billy Ray Hansford will be 11am Monday April 30, 2012 at Oak Grove Cemetery near Winnsboro. The funeral procession with eighteen wheeler caravan will depart Comer Funeral Home Ferriday at 10:15am. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Troy Terrell of Mansfield, LA. Mr. Hansford was born in Winnsboro, LA on November 29, 1944 to the union of Homer James and Maureen Bridges Hansford and passed from this life on Friday afternoon April 27, 2012 at Riverland Medical Center Ferriday after an extended illness. He was a resident of Vidalia, a member of the Baptist Faith; and served in the U. S. Armed Forces. He was known on the highway c b waves as ? The Bear?; and made countless friends along all the highways of the United States in his forty years as a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Glenda Dell Hansford Epperson and Mary Louise Hansford Morehead, and his precious little great-niece Brittney Angelica ?Angel? Martinez. Survivors include his two sisters Judy Hansford Polk and husband James of Mansfield, and Dianne Hansford Wyles of Fayetteville, Arkansas; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may call for visitation on Sunday evening after 4pm until 8pm at Comer Funeral Home. Nephews will be honored to serve as pallbearers
