Albert Forrester
Mr. Forrester was born January 19, 1919 in Teague, TX, the son of Ayers and Jennie A. Forrester. He had been a resident of Ferriday since 1948 and was a member of the Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church in Ferriday, where he previously served on the church board. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army Air Corp as 1st Lieutenant in the 95th Bomb Squad 8th Air. He flew 35 missions over Germany and received the Bronze Star, Distinguishe Flying Cross, and a medal from the Russian government. He was a retired Landman and also was the Manager of Concordia Electric. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis Club, and Rotary Club. He was preceded in death by his paretns, wife, Kathlee "Kitty" Welch Forrester, and brother, Herman Forrester. He is survived by his daughter: Alice Ann Forrester and husband, Hillman Edward "Eddie" Hunter of Tulsa, OK; Sons: Leo Forrester of Ferriday, LA and Albert Ayers Forrester, Jr. and wife, Sallie Allen Forrester, of Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren: Renee Hunter Herndon of Broken Arrow, OK, Benjamin Forrester and Julia Forrester, both of Atlanta, GA; Great grandchildren:Ashley, Katie, and Taylor Herndon; Sister in law: Anna Forrester of Fredricksburg, TX; and nephews: Ronnie and Joe Ed Forrester.
